Tulsa Workshop

Hey everybody!
Again, please forgive me for never updateing my blog. The reason I haven't updated anything in like two months is because of this awsome computer game i'm addicted to. Anyway, back to the subject at hand. This year at Tulsa Workshop had to be the worst year ever. Well........ I guess it wasn't that horrible because this year they had the best accapella group ever, and I found my new favorite speaker Patrick Mead, he is pretty awesome. However, there were three downsides to this year, number one: There was more than a foot of snow,(mostly slush) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. TULSA, OKLAHOMA!!!!!!!! Dose anybody know what the chances of snow are in Tulsa, Oklahoma in MARCH?????? Thats right, it's not very likely, yet it somehow managed to snow on the same weekend as Tulsa's Soul Winning Workshop. So, this year I did my absoulute best at not complaining or whinning, so I decided to just whine and complain to you guys so that way you can decide weather or not to listen............or read.
Reason number two: The Madisons wern't there. Seriously, did anybody really expect me to have a supirior time with out them?? No offense to the Clarks, they're pretty awsome, but Caris kept showing me these creepy muffin and vampire vidioes on You Tube.
Reason number three: They moved to the exchange center. It used to be at the expo building. Ahhh.......... that was a great building; roomy, great lighting, the sweet smell of funnel cakes, and better bathrooms. Then came the exchange center, cramped, horrible lighting, no delicious smelling funnel cakes, and crappy bathrooms (litteraly). The Expo building was even more convenently located (meaning that we don't or didn't have to walk as far to the pavilion).
So, as you can see, there were a few downers at Tulsa Workshop this year, but the speakers made up for everything. It was toattaly worth walking all the way to the pavilion to see Jeff Waling, and know my personal favorite; Patrick Mead.

Hi everybody! Yes, it's true. I'm at studyhall. I hate it so far, i'm bored out of my mind! I spent about 20 minutes working on my Ancient world history essay, and now I decided to go ahead and put up a new post.

I'm sitting next to kjerstin Miller, and on the other side Tomi Tash. I'm listening to Belle Hamseth laugh her head off because they are trying to figure out the password on Kaitie Orr's Zoom. Behind me, Shelby Lehman is helping Kalighie Fettkether with her math homewrok. Now Kjerstin Miller just asked me what I was doing.

Now that you've been bored to deth with all this pointless information, give me a comment!

Hi everyone! I have only been blogging for about two or three months and I have a lot of questions! First of all I'm really confused about how to put up new backgrounds. I've tried going to scrapblog and I've made something and put it on, but it won't come up and it's not a background. Second thing: how do you get pictures to come up underneath words? all I can do is get them to come up to the upper right and left hand corner, and center. Third: how do I get those neto blog buttons? OK that's all. If you have the answers to any of my questions PLEASE!!! give me a comment! I know the questions might seem really stupid, but I'm a blond. If you have any answers or ideas on how to make my blog better, give me a comment! Thanks!!!

Lock-in

I am so sorry that I like never update my blog. Please forgive me!!! I'm sitting at my mom's desk, using her laptop waiting for her to finish planing. (She's a fourth grade teacher) Lately I've been super busy with two things: the first thing is that yesterday, my English teacher came into the social studies room to tell us that our book reports were due tomorrow!! I totally freaked out because I thought it was due on the 17th, and I haven't even started typing it yet! I stayed up half the night typing my single spaced, 12 font, 3 page book report! I came to school the next day to hand it in and found out that she made a mistake it was due on the 17th! The second thing I've been super busy with is my ancient world history essay. We each got to pick what we wanted to do our essay on and I picked Hatshepsut. It is really confusing because my teacher wants us to do this thing in our essay where we have to put the name of our information source inside our essay after every paragraph.

Okay now I'm going to talk about the Lock-in. Our church is having a lock-in, and only like ten people are coming. My parents are going to be the only adults there. ( I think) And then the teens from our church are coming. Guess who else is coming? MEGEN, MARISSA, AND JORDAN!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!!!!!!

In the past years at the lock-in we have tried to invite some of the littler kids that come on Wednesday nights but we vetoed that because the 8 and 9 year olds were bouncing off the walls! it was crazy! So we've narrowed it down to 6th -12th graders. The only 8 and 9 year olds that can come are Bryce, Haylie, and Taylor.

During the lock-in this year, this is what we have planned so far: Movies, games, talent show, karaoke (maybe!???) food, and we might possibly be able to bring our Wii!

Today is January eighteenth and tomorrow is Bryce's Birthday!

We have no school tomorrow because of teacher work day, so Bryce, Ryne and I will be at home all day doing absolutely nothing. We have had a five day weekend because Thursday, the weather was bad so school was closed, and Friday we didn't have school because of a teacher work day. (I think??) But on Thursday I still had to go to my dentist appointment. (whats that all about????)

My plan for tomorrow is to play Mario kart as much as possible,(I'm addicted!!) finish my book, eat, and sleep till' 10:00. If I have extra time I might watch a movie or something.

On Tuesday, my Grandma and Grandad are coming over for Bryce's Birthday celebration.

As for today, our friends from Church(Ken and Tammie) are coming over to watch the Steelers game. I don't enjoy football very much, so I'm planning on staying upstairs and reading or something.

Ryne

As most of you know Ryne is my oldest brother. He is 17, and realy tall. His hobbies are football, baseball, and playing sports games on our Wii (like the Madden '08 ones and stuff).

The reason I chose to write about Ryne today is because this morning at his Basketball practice, his friend Seth hit him in the mouth with a basketball. We took him to the hospital and I believe he got about 14 stitches.

When Ryne was about my age he also got hit in the face with the ball. Exept this time it was a baseball, and it hit him in the eye. ( and now, he can make on pupil bigger then the other. It's really cool.) Ryne and Seth were playing catch and one of his other freinds, Logan, was messing around and put his glove in front of Ryne's face. Ryne didn't see Seth through the ball so when Logan removed his glove the ball hit Ryne in the eye.

Ryne, being the shy person he is, would not tell anyone about this. So i'm just telling you so you can feel sorry for him!

Drew

This is Drew. Drew is a very cute four year old boy,who happens to be my cousin. Here are a few things you might want to know about Drew: He loves the movie Cars, and his favorite line from the movie is: "ya hurt yur' what?", his two favorite restaurants are McDonald's and Taco Bell, and he absolutely loves anything that has to do with trucks or Cars.

During Christmas with the McMillions, my mom's side of the family, (we are currently there!) we discovered another drew saying: "You have GOT! to try this" he says it way more dramatically then that, but you get the picture!

Today we went to HuHot (This super delicious Mongolian grill or better known as Asian food) and after awhile Drew and I became bored so we decided to play a game of tic-tac-toe on his kids menu. I taught him how to play, and every time i told him to go a certain place so he could block me he would shout: "Daddy, i blocked Colby!"

Drew is also a very inventive little boy. He has come up with several games that we have played. One time he came up with a game where you touch the other person and you have to say "No touchy, touchy" you have to do this repetitively until you get really annoyed and make an excuse for not playing.

I'm like really sorry if you think my blog is boring, because i don't have pictures, music and stuff like Marissa the computer nerd!!(jking!!)

Today was purty great, we only had like 4 hours of school! We had an early out and a two hour delay.

We had a Christmas party and watched Horten Hears a Who. I LOVE THAT MOVIE!! It was spectacular! (that's a fun word to say. Just like persnickety!) After the movie, we had a party with our adviser groups. We all had secret santa people, and my person was Joe. I got him a bunch of stuff. When we went to the Mall of America for our Christmas shopping, we found this M&M shop, and i knew that Joe liked M&M's so we dropped by their and i got him an M&M depenser with a fan, an M&M mug, a buch of candy, and a Care Bare wonderball with stickers inside. He loved it but was disapointed when I didn't get him Mountain Dew,which apperantly was in big letters on his list.

He got me these awsome santa socks, a big white binder(long story), twistable colored pencils, and colorful post-it-notes. I loved it! even though i didn't get a grapefruit or fruitcake.( also a very long story)
